Someone on Twitter just told me that not only is abortion okay, but women actually have a moral obligation to abort their children if they can't financially provide for them.
Or, as he put it, "...predict within reason the ability to provide a decent quality of life to the future person."
I wish I was joking.
"Safe, legal, and rare" is dead. It's become "abortion on demand with no apology."
Heaven help us. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.

Wow. "Moral"
ReplyDeleteI don't think that word means what he thinks it means....
:(
Inconceivable!
DeleteThese people are so far gone its amazing. It's the moral thing to do to kill our kids now, because God forbid they not be able to grow up with a BMW and designer clothes!
ReplyDeleteUm. Wow. Uh… Is that true of children after birth, too?
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm Agnes, first-time commenter here! I actually had the same exact experience back when Planned Parenthood advocates were raging with anger over Susan G Komen's temporary decision to withdraw their funds! I've been told by one of my classmates that if abortion wasn't there, he wouldn't have a job and other young people would probably be dying on the streets and suffering, unable to provide for themselves. He bought into the whole overpopulation myth. Not only that, he told me that religion is the bane of everyone's existence and only causes conflict in the world. Yeah, that's exactly the type of people we're dealing with here! People who think killing millions of human beings actually benefits society! I've also been told a lot, a lot more disheartening lies by the liberal youth (some of them being my classmates or friends) on facebook, whenever I post a pro-life picture or status. Let me tell you, the enemy is out there and making himself known, because he's losing ground!! The pro-life movement is stronger than ever and we will not comply or give up :-) Alright, I'm done ranting. I love your blog and a few days ago I became your stalker, I mean follower. :-)
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!
I also agree wholeheartedly with you Kara!
Thanks for reading!! :)
DeleteThis makes me so, so sad.
ReplyDeleteWhatever happened to MEN providing financially for their children??? There use to be words to describe such men. Those words were FATHER and HUSBAND. I realize I'm generalizing, but responsible dads are taking care of their kids in one way or another. It may be picking the kids up from school, taking them to the park, looking over the homework, slaying monsters in the closets, and doing other things for and with their children.
